How do you travel to and from work - personal vehicle, bus, subway/train, pedal power? What does it cost you per week in gas or fares?
Submitted by Jan.
I drive to a Park & Ride, then take the city bus to work. It usually takes about one hour each way. That's two hours of my life each day that I'd rather spend another way. With the price of gas what it is, it used to take $40-$50 to fill my tank each month; now it takes $60-$80. It would obviously cost much more if I was driving the entire distance to and from work. Since I ride the bus during peak hours, I pay the highest fare but my firm subsidizes the cost. I used to pay $115 per month and I now pay $44.
I wish my firm would open an office closer to home!
Well, I certainly haven't done much with this blog, have I?
I hope you'll stop by and check it out. Please feel free to comment!
My new group blog, Texty Ladies, has taken up a good portion of my free time and so I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with my other blogs. Over at Texty Ladies, my writer friend Jane and I are still blogging about music, art and writing. We've recently interviews author Bettie Sharpe and artist and writer Kathy Ostman-Magnusen. We also have posts about comics, ATCs, 80's music, hot guys, hobbies & dreams and more.
I've had this account for a month or so and am just now getting around to posting. Sheesh! My name is Pamela and I'm a wife, mother, and legal assistant by day, writer by night. I also like to dabble in the arts when there's a moment to spare. I just created a group blog with two writer/artist friends that I hope you'll check out. It's called Texty Ladies, and we talk about writing, art and music. We have a weekly column (mine) and weekly interviews. So far, we've interviewed authors Antonia Pearce and Jacquie Rogers. We're also throwing in posts about music and design, book reviews and random special features.
If you venture over to Texty Ladies, I'd appreciate your constructve comments and topic suggestions!
